Event planning can be an extremely stressful time, trying to get everything planned on time to meet the event deadline. Lots of events are on the horizon including Easter 31st March, St Georges Day 23rd April, School proms and The British and Irish Lions Rugby tour.

Promoting your event can be extremely time consuming and potentially very costly. Here are a few ideas to help you save some cash:

  • Advertise your events through passing trade – the local chippy, pub or restaurant can be a great and really inexpensive way of doing this (there are many cost effective printers available online).
  • If you’re promoting an event that’s aimed at school children ask the local schools if you can distribute your flyers in children’s book bags as free advertising.
  • Leaflet drops in the area where the event will be held.
  • Use social media to promote your events.
  • Contact local free papers and magazines who will probably publicise your events for free.
  • Put flyers up in local libraries, surgeries, supermarket notice boards and local shops.
  • If your event is for charity, contact your local radio station for some free publicity.
