Do you need some help and advice on recruiting new recruits to the Squadron? As a previous Squadron Commander of 2000 Eckington Squadron near Sheffield I always had recruiting on my ‘To do’ list in order to maintain numbers. We regularly held school presentations in assemblies and always took our recruitment promotion board to local events in order to attract new members.
However the most successful and effective way of recruiting new members came from a PVC banner that I had printed. We put the banner on the outside of our Squadron building (which is on a main road) which attracted a lot of attention. The banner had a few pictures of the cadets in action along with a contact number and slogan. The banner created a constant flow of enquiries which I kept on a waiting list until out next intake session. The banner that I had printed was designed by myself online at www.thebannerhub.co.uk
The great thing with this website is that you can order a personalised banner from as little as £16. You can upload your own images, logo etc and design the banner yourself, choose your background, colour and text. The banners are printed onto hard wearing PVC banner material. All banners are fitted with eyelets for you to use to hang the banner.
If you don’t feel like designing the banner yourself why not ask one of the cadets to do it or www.thebannerhub.co.uk does offer an artwork service.
